Build, Sail, Live.

Two Guys

One Crazy Dream.

Updated Logo 2.png

We are building a 38’ sailboat from stump to ship, once completed she will take us around the world. We hope to inspire and educate as many people as possible along the way. Join us on our journey and let us show you that with a bit of dedication, good company and some old school smarts even the wildest of dreams can be made to come true!

How can you follow along?

We believe that this is going to be one hell of a journey.  Because of this, we have decided that we need to record it as we go, for ourselves as much as for you. We will therefore be putting out videos on a regular basis showing our progress. Please follow along and join us! You can subscribe to our channel on YouTube to be notified once a video is released (every other Friday).

Is it possible to help support this project?

Yes, the best way is through Patreon!  We are currently independently funded via our two full time jobs.  As proud as we are of this, it makes it very difficult to dedicate the required amount of time we need to the build as well as to produce videos to share with you. Financial support via Patreon would allow us to work full time on the project and roll out more and better content for you!

What is Patreon?

Patreon is a site that was created to help support artists and creators by connecting them to fans wanting to support their work. When you become a Patron, you can decide to contribute a certain amount of money per creation (in our case, videos). You have complete control over how much you decide to donate per month and can set a cap on your monthly donations.  Not only do you get to help support a project you love, but you receive a reward depending on the amount you decide to donate!  To check out our Patreon page CLICK HERE.

If a man is to be obsessed by something, I suppose a boat is as good as anything, perhaps a bit better than most.

Our videos get released on our Youtube channel every Friday at 7:00am EST. The above links will take you to: our Youtube channel where you can subscribe to get notified when videos are released, to our Facebook page where we post about progress in between videos and finally to our Patreon page where you can sign up to donate per video in order to support the project.

A Bit More Information?

If you have been watching and would like a bit more information about the project and our plans for the future, Stu at Dangar Marine came by for a visit and we chatted about all kinds of things, from the build to our plans traveling around the world.

Noel Tetrev Memorial – Sails for Arabella

We are deeply saddened to hear of Noel Tetrev’s passing in July 2019. It was a pleasure for us to have met Noel and enjoyed his help while assembling Arabella’s bow timbers. In the limited time we spent with him it was clear to us how much of a kind and gentle person he was. On his visit, Noel, gifted us two planes to be used on the build and we are happy to say they are indeed being used.

We are honored that our project meant so much to him and are deeply grateful to Noel’s family and friends who invite you to join them in contributing to the “Sails for Arabella” fund, established in his honor this year.

If you would like to contribute to the memorial fund, you can do so via the link to the GoFundMe page below. Or via a direct check payable to ACORN TO ARABELLA to the following address (please also add “Noel Tetrev memorial” to memo line):

Acorn to Arabella 291 Batchelor Street, Granby, MA 01033

One Time Donation

Every donation will help us get that much closer to building Arabella.  It will also allow us to more easily put out videos for you to follow along.  Thank you all for your support!
