Where and When

Arabella is being launched on June 17, 2023 at Mattapoisett’s Shipyard Park in Mattapoisett, Massachusetts at 10 a.m. The festivities will continue on June 18 for people who would like to see Arabella in a smaller crowd. There is no admission fee. Please enjoy food trucks, a large A2A booth with wood offcuts and other treasure, and adjacent park land that has beautiful beaches. Join our Newsletter for important updates.

The WoodenBoat Show, which is a boat show hosted by WoodenBoat Magazine at Mystic Seaport, is one weekend later: June 23–25. We plan to exhibit there as well. Read more about the boat show here.

Places to Stay

Mattapoisett, being near Cape Cod and with so much waterfront property, can be an expensive place to stay. Our recommendation is to look for affordable hotels outside the area by about 20-30 minutes and drive in if you’re able.

Getting Here

The closest airport is TF Green Airport (PVD) in Rhode Island.
The next closest is Boston Logan (BOS), and airfare is normally less expensive to fly into there, though of course, it’s a little farther.

We recommend trying to be parked by 9 or 9:30 a.m. Some of the lots will be a shuttle ride to Shipyard Park, please allow time for your walk or shuttle.

What to Bring

There is limited seating, so we recommend bringing a chair if you think you’ll need it. A water container (which can be used for fountain drinks or coffee, too!), sunscreen and hat, cash for vendors that don’t accept cards. To reduce waste, and since we’re by the seaside, it’s a good idea to bring reusable utensils for eating so we can reduce waste.

Feel free to pack in your own lunch and beverages! While we’re glad to support local businesses, we want this to be an affordable outing for all.
